TONY SPEAKIN'......
Hello, my name is Anthony Patrick Sr. A.K.A. "LA Tony". I'm a proud
father of three, Antoinette 16, Toi-lan 9, and Anthony Jr.4. I was born
in Atlanta Georgia, then my family moved to Southern California where I
was raised in a little city called "Ladera Heights."
I attended Inglewood High School, and went to Calpoly Pomona College
majoring in Architectural Design and Drafting. I obtained a license in
cosmetology (Yes L.A. Tony did hair :). My family owned a well known
hair salon called "Hair in Motion." In this profession I acquired
personal and business contacts. My high end clientele came from various
backgrounds, mainly the entertainment business. Just to name a few: BeBe
Winans, Silk, Low Key, Bobby Brown, Bell-Biv-Devoe, and Gerald Albright.
In the year of 1987, I decided to go after my true
passion…..construction. This is how Personal 2U Construction was born.
This industry allowed me to utilize my architectural background.
In November of 1995, I moved back to Atlanta Georgia. I became an
active sponsor for various cancer organizations, supporting cancer walks,
benefits concerts, and other fundraisers.
In 1996, I decided to make Atlanta my home for a while. I continued to
pursue and further my career in construction. Then in 2005 is when I
came across a new passion….Stepping. Yes! When I first witness stepping
it was in a club name "Hairstons". I found out they were holding
classes, and desired to learn how to step that eventually turned in to an
addiction. The hunger and determination led me to two of Atlanta's best
male instructors in the stepping community, Damon "The Professor"
Phillips, and Ronnie "Ronnie B." Burnett. These two men help develop my
skills and took my stepping to another level. I want to publicly "Thank"
them for that.
I am proud to be a member of the "Platinum Steppers." A group of real
men, with real
Destinies. We strive to walk the walk and talk the talk. It's not an
easy road to travel but together we hold each other accountable when it
comes to our character and integrity.
(Proverbs 16:9) A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his
steps.
My motto is…, "A Man who will stand for nothing will fall for
anything."
We Platinum men stand together with purpose and unity, having nothing
but love for the community.
